Police Issue Update After Man Stabbed in Greenwich — Suspect Remains at Large

Police have issued an update following a stabbing in Greenwich on Tuesday evening, confirming that the victim’s injuries are not life-threatening, while the suspect remains at large.

Emergency services were called to Blissett Street, SE18, shortly after 5.30pm on March 25, following reports of a man being attacked with a knife.

Officers from the Metropolitan Police, alongside paramedics from the London Ambulance Service, attended the scene and found a man suffering from stab injuries. He was taken to hospital, where his condition was assessed and later confirmed to be non-life-threatening and not life-changing.

Suspect Still Sought

As of Wednesday, no arrests have been made, and detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the assault.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said:

“Police were called shortly after 5.30pm on Tuesday, March 25 to reports of a stabbing in the vicinity of Blissett Street, SE18.

Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and a man was located with stab injuries – he was taken to hospital where his injuries were deemed to be not life-threatening or life-changing.

No arrests; enquiries into the circumstances continue.”

Witness Appeal

Police are urging anyone with information about the incident — including CCTV, doorbell footage or dashcam video — to come forward.

“Anyone with information is asked to call 101 or message ‘X’ (formerly Twitter) @MetCC quoting reference CAD 5958/25Mar,” the spokesperson added.
“Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or at crimestoppers-uk.org.”

The incident has raised renewed concerns about knife crime in southeast London. Police patrols in the area are expected to be increased as investigations continue.
