Police Launch Manhunt After Sexual Assault at Finchley Cinema

The Metropolitan Police have launched an urgent appeal to identify a suspect in connection with a serious sexual assault that occurred in Finchley, North London, on Wednesday, 11 June 2025.

The victim, a woman in her 30s, was reportedly assaulted inside a cinema in South Hampstead at approximately 3:45 PM. She is now receiving care from specialist officers, and police have released a CCTV image of the suspect in a bid to locate him.


Description of the Suspect

According to witness accounts and surveillance footage, the suspect is described as:

  • Male, approximately in his 50s

  • Around 5ft 6in tall, with a slim build

  • Dark hair on the sides of his head

  • Last seen wearing glasses and a North Face coat

The man was seen leaving the cinema on foot, heading toward Swiss Cottage, a busy area with public transport access.
