Man Charged with Murder Of Pensioner Mary Steel following Incident in Godalming
Officers investigating an incident in Farncombe on Sunday 29 October, in which 79-year-old Mary Steel of Wey Court died, have charged her son with murder. Nicholas Anthony Steel, 57, of Meadrow in Godalming, will appear at Guildford Magistrates Court tomorrow (4 November 2017).

The woman has been formally identified as 79-year-old Mary Steel, of Wey Court. Officers were called to the address at around 9.20am following reports of a concern for safety on Sunday, 29 October where Mary Steel was found with a serious injury. She was treated at the scene by paramedics but was sadly pronounced dead around 10.10am.
