Night of Mayhem at Central Park Stadium: Bar Raided, Thousands in Damages
Chaos hit Central Park Stadium in Murston between January 1 and 2, 2023, when bar areas were repeatedly broken into. Thieves made off with multiple bottles of spirits, three laptops, and around £100 in a tip jar. Damage to the Church Road venue is estimated to run into thousands of pounds.
Shifty Suspect Caught Red-Handed in Sittingbourne
Swale Local Policing Team didn’t stop there. On January 30, a man was spotted sneaking around the Bourne Place car park in Sittingbourne, fiddling with car door handles and trying to nick a bicycle outside the train station.
Liam Wood Busted: Charges Stack Up
Police arrested 32-year-old Liam Wood from Crown Quay Lane, Sittingbourne, the very same day. He faces four counts of burglary, going equipped for theft, two counts of vehicle interference, attempted bicycle theft, and possession of a knife in public.
Wood was remanded in custody and is due in Medway Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, January 31.
