Woman Robbed in Broad Daylight at Portsmouth Park

Police are hunting a gang of teenagers after a 46-year-old woman was attacked and robbed at King George V playing field in Cosham.

The incident happened on Sunday 2 June between 4.30pm and 5.30pm. The woman approached a group of around six teenagers when one allegedly struck her on the head with a white motorcycle helmet, knocking her to the ground. Another teen kicked her as she fell.

Teens Steal Purse, Phone and £50

As the woman pulled out her purse, one of the boys snatched it along with her handbag and phone, leaving her bag behind. Moments later, two boys from the group returned her purse and phone but had already stolen £50 from the purse.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

  • Boy One: White, about 16, dark brown hair swept to the side, green and white motorcycle helmet
  • Boy Two: White, 15-16 years, dark helmet

Police are also keen to hear from two girls who helped the victim. One wore a strappy top and white jeans, the other a mustard-coloured coat with brown wavy hair.
