School Kids Robbed at Bat-Point in Broad Daylight on Gosport Cycle Path
Three 14-year-old boys were left shaken after being mugged on their way home from school in Gosport. The trio were threatened at knifepoint—well, actually a bat—by a man in his late twenties riding a black bike with white forks.
Daylight Robbery on Cycle Path
The terrifying incident happened around 3.30pm on Thursday afternoon, right on the cycle path between Military Road and Brockhurst Road. The attacker, wearing a red bobble hat, stopped the boys and demanded their phones, threatening to bash them if they refused.
Frightened, the lads handed over a black iPhone 5s, a blue iPhone 5, and a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. The thief then sped off on his bike, leaving the boys at home nursing their fear.
Parents Demand Action
Locals are fuming and calling for urgent police intervention. One parent raged on social media: “Enough is enough. It’s about time the police did something about that cycle path. Things like this keep happening down there!”
