Woman Attacked in Unprovoked Assault in Portsmouth – Police Hunt Witnesses

Police are urgently seeking witnesses after a shocking assault on a 41-year-old woman in Portsmouth on Saturday night (March 12).

Attack Caught Off Guard

The victim had just stepped out of a blue Toyota Yaris on Kettering Terrace between 8:45pm and 9:15pm when a man pushed her from behind. She fell to the ground and was viciously kicked and punched in the back and shoulder. Disturbingly, the attack included racist abuse aimed at the woman.

Injuries and Getaway

The victim suffered a sprained shoulder. The attacker then fled running along 1 Terrace, heading away from the M275.

Police Appeal for Information

Officers are appealing to anyone who was in the area and saw what happened to come forward. If you have any information, please contact police on 101.
