Man Brutally Assaulted in Ryde – Police Urge Witnesses to Speak Up
A man was left battered and bruised after a vicious attack in Ryde, Isle of Wight. Police want anyone with information to come forward.
Victim Attacked by Group of Four Young Men
The 46-year-old victim was walking along Adelaide Place near Ratcliffe Avenue at 7.10pm on Thursday, April 14 when four men, aged 18 to 20, confronted and assaulted him.
The assault left the man with swollen facial injuries, damaged teeth, and a nasty cut to his head.
Police Hunting Key Witnesses
“We know this area is busy with dog walkers and football players, so we urge anyone who witnessed the attack to come forward,” said Detective Constable Lee Parker.
“We are especially keen to speak to a young woman aged 18 to 20 and a white-haired man walking a black-and-brown Staffy-type dog who were nearby at the time. They may hold vital information.”
“We believe this was an isolated incident and we are doing everything possible to arrest those responsible.”
