Downham Way was sealed off late last night, February 28, after a disturbing hit-and-run incident.
Child Hit but Injuries Not Life-Threatening
A child was reportedly struck by a car around 11pm. The Metropolitan Police have refused to disclose the child’s age.
“Injuries are not life-threatening or life changing and no arrests made,” a police spokesperson confirmed.
Scene Locked Down for Recovery Work
Officers quickly cordoned off a section of Downham Way as recovery teams worked to clear the scene. The investigation is ongoing, but police say no arrests have been made.
