Man Stabbed in Shocking Attempted Murder in Reading

Police are urgently hunting witnesses after a 44-year-old man was stabbed in Coley Avenue, Reading, tonight (19/9) at around 7.40pm.

The victim was rushed to hospital in serious condition and remains there as detectives launch a full investigation.

Police Appeal for Witnesses and CCTV

Detective Chief Inspector Emily Evans said: “We’re in the early stages and want to hear from anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in Coley Avenue this evening.”

She added: “If you have CCTV footage from the area, please check it carefully and share anything relevant with us.”

Increased Police Patrols and Calls for Information

“We’ve boosted police presence locally,” Evans confirmed. “Please stop and talk to officers if you have concerns or information that could help.”

The incident is being treated as isolated, but cops are determined to trace those responsible.
