Tragedy Strikes at Bracklesham Bay: Kitesurfer Dies in Accident
Kitesurfer in Trouble
Selsey Coastguard team were called out at 1.20pm on Wednesday after reports of a kitesurfer in distress at Bracklesham Bay.
Emergency Services Rush to Scene
Paramedics, Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance, and Police quickly responded. Coastguard Rescue Helicopter 163 was dispatched but stood down while en-route.
Sadly, No Rescue
Sussex Police confirmed officers arrived alongside paramedics but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
“The man’s next of kin have been informed, as has the coroner’s office,” police said.
