Serious Collision at Basingstoke Roundabout: Cyclist Hurt
A white Toyota Yaris collided with a cyclist at the busy roundabout junction of Basingstoke Road and Whitley Woodway at around 9.55am on Friday (9/10).
74-Year-Old Cyclist in Hospital with Head Injuries
The 74-year-old man riding the bike suffered serious head injuries and was rushed to John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. Thankfully, his condition is now stable.
The driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with police.
Police Seek Witnesses and Dash Cam Footage
“I’m appealing for anybody who witnessed this collision to please make contact with police,” said Investigating Officer PC Jennifer Laurie from Three Mile Cross.
“We’re especially keen to hear from anyone with dash cam footage of the crash.”
