Tragic London Violence: Teen Shot Dead and Boy Stabbed Hours Apart
Swiss Cottage School Stabbing Shocks
A peaceful Tuesday morning turned horrific near a school on Adelaide Road, Swiss Cottage. Just before 12:55pm on March 4, emergency crews found a 12-year-old boy with serious stab wounds. He was treated at the scene before being rushed to hospital, where thankfully his injuries were not life-threatening.
Two 14-year-old boys were quickly arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon. They remain in custody as police continue their inquiries.
Deadly Shooting Rocks Clapham
Less than two hours later, terror struck again in Clapham. At 2:30pm, officers responded to reports of a shooting on Paradise Road. They found a 16-year-old boy critically injured. Paramedics battled to save him but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police Launch Urgent Probe
Superintendent Gabriel Cameron called the shooting “an enormously shocking incident.” He said:
“Our thoughts are with the young boy’s family at this devastating time. Local officers are gathering CCTV footage and speaking with witnesses to piece together what happened. Specialist homicide detectives will join the investigation shortly. We will work around the clock to find those responsible.”
At this stage, no one has been arrested in connection with the shooting. Police are working to identify the victim and inform his next of kin.
