Family Publish Shocking Photos of Cowes Hit-and-Run Teen to Catch Driver
The desperate family of a 15-year-old boy injured in a hit-and-run on the Isle of Wight have released graphic pictures of his injuries in a plea to find the driver who fled the scene.
Teen Crushed in Cowes Collision
Police were called to Baring Road, Cowes, shortly after 3.30pm on Thursday, July 7, following reports that a small black car struck the teenager near the junction with Crossfield Avenue.
Italian visitor Carlo Bozzola suffered serious bruising and cuts to his face, arms, legs, and knees. Emergency services rushed him to hospital where he is receiving treatment.
Driver Vanishes Without a Trace
The car involved, described only as a small, black, low-profile vehicle, made off without stopping. Carlo’s family have now bravely shared a photo of his injuries to urge anyone who might know the culprit to speak up.
PC Neil Corby said: “We are supporting Carlo and his family through this difficult time. They wanted this photo released to show the severity of his injuries.”
“This has caused them huge distress. We’re doing everything we can to find the driver and urge them to come forward immediately.”
“If you witnessed anything or have any information, please get in touch.”
