Police launch urgent hunt for witnesses after schoolboy seriously hurt in car crash.

Seven-Year-Old Boy Injured in Road Collision

A young boy suffered severe injuries after being hit by a car on Acacia Road, Merryoak, last Wednesday evening. The crash happened around 5.45pm on February 24. The victim, just seven years old, was playing nearby on a small green space before the collision with a black Vauxhall Zafira.

Boy Hospitalised with Broken Leg

He was rushed to General Hospital with a broken leg and other serious injuries and remains in care. The cause of the collision is under investigation.

Driver Cooperating as Police Seek Witnesses

Police Constable Brendan said: “We are appealing for anyone who may have seen the incident or the car and children before it happened to come forward.”

The driver stopped at the scene and is assisting officers with their enquiries.
