Teen Cyclist Hurt in Portsmouth Hit-and-Run

A teenage cyclist was rushed to hospital after being hit by a silver car that sped off without stopping in Portsmouth.

15-Year-Old Injured and Taken to Hospital

The crash happened around 11.10am on Monday, April 9, on Gladys Avenue near the Ophir Road junction. The 15-year-old boy suffered a knee injury and was treated at Queen Alexandra Hospital.

Driver Flees Scene – Police Want Answers

The silver car failed to stop after the collision. Police are now hunting the driver and urging anyone with information to come forward.

PC Colin 1 from the Joint Roads Policing Unit said: “The collision happened near to the Ophir Road junction, so we would like to speak to anyone who was in that area at around that time. Even if you didn’t see the collision itself, you may have noticed something that could help with our investigation. I would also urge the driver of the car to come forward – if you think this could have been you, please get in touch.”
