Woman Dies After Escaping Fulham House Fire
A woman has tragically died after fleeing a blaze in a West London flat on Friday morning, June 27.
Fire Erupts in Fulham Flat
Emergency crews raced to Marinefield Road in Sands End just before 9:10am after reports of a fire ripping through a three-room flat near Langford Primary School.
The London Fire Brigade (LFB) sent two fire engines and about 10 firefighters to the scene. The woman managed to escape the burning property before firefighters arrived but was rushed to hospital, where she was sadly pronounced dead.
“Part of a three-roomed flat was damaged by the fire. One woman left the property before crews arrived and was taken to hospital by the Ambulance Service. Sadly, she later died at hospital,” confirmed the LFB.
The flat was engulfed for over an hour, causing significant structural damage. Authorities have not revealed the exact nature of the woman’s injuries or her identity.
Police and Fire Experts Probe Blaze
The Metropolitan Police and specialist fire investigators from the LFB have launched a joint investigation to find the cause of the fire. A cordon remains in place as inquiries continue.
This deadly blaze is the latest in a series of fires across London in recent weeks, stirring fresh warnings about fire safety as temperatures soar this summer.
