Shock in Southsea: A man was found dead in a residential car park on Woodpath Close, near Elm Grove, sparking a major emergency response on Monday.
Helicopter Rushed to Scene
Specialist medics, including an air ambulance crew, were scrambled to the location. The helicopter touched down on Southsea Common as paramedics battled to save the man’s life. Despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police Launch Full Investigation
The circumstances surrounding the death remain unclear. Hampshire Police swiftly cordoned off the area. Forensic teams were seen scouring the site for crucial evidence. So far, the identity of the deceased has not been released and it’s unknown if foul play is suspected.

Locals reported a heavy police presence all day. Officers continue to piece together what happened and have urged anyone with information to come forward.
