Teen Arrested for Knife Possession in Portslade
Police swooped on Church Road, Portslade, on Thursday morning after worried locals raised the alarm. Around 11.20am, officers from Brighton and Hove’s Neighbourhood Policing Team arrested a 16-year-old boy on suspicion of carrying a knife in public.
Operation Safety Cracks Down on Knife Crime
The arrest was part of Operation Safety, Sussex Police’s crackdown on knife crime through tough enforcement and community education. The teenager has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.
