£500,000 Cash Haul Sparks Money Laundering Probe at Channel Tunnel
Two Liverpool men were arrested after a whopping £500,000 was uncovered hidden inside a van at the Channel Tunnel. The cash, split between euros and pounds, was found in a secret compartment of a white Mercedes Sprinter just before 1pm on Friday.

Serious Crime Unit Cracks Down on Organised Crime
Detective Inspector Annie 1 from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate is heading the inquiry. She said: “This is a significant seizure of cash that demonstrates our determination and commitment to ensure crime does not pay.”
She added: “We are actively investigating the circumstances of this discovery while continuing to disrupt the ability of organised groups to profit from crime.”
