A man has been arrested on suspicion of a series of offences after police were called to a disturbance in Croydon early this morning.
Metropolitan Police officers were called to Lansdowne Road at around 5.40am following reports of a disturbance.

Officers attended and subsequently arrested a 28-year-old man on suspicion of grievous bodily harm, false imprisonment and making threats to kill.

He was taken into police custody, where he remains.
Despite the nature of the suspected offences, police said there were no reported injuries.
Enquiries are continuing.
