Chav Fest Chaos! Professor Green Halts Gig Amid Huge Brawl at Isle of Wight Festival
A massive fight erupted during Professor Green’s set at the Fairweather Family Festival on the Isle of Wight, turning the event into pure mayhem. The grime star, raised on Hackney’s tough Northwold estate, had to stop mid-song to plead for calm as the brawls spiralled out of control.
Violence Erupts at “Family” Fair
The first night of the two-day festival at Sandown Airport descended into chaos, with security scrambling to break up fight after fight. Attendees described the scene as a “Chav Fest” – far from the family-friendly vibe promised. Around 3,000 people were packed in, but many left early, disgusted by the violence.
Professor Green, never one to mince words, shouted at the disorderly crowd: “Where are the parents?” The clashes involved both adults and underage drunk teens, ruining the bash for many.
Day Two Drama – Fence Jumping and Stage Storming
The chaos wasn’t over on Saturday. A group of revellers jumped festival fencing in a bid to sneak in. The drum and bass area was temporarily shut down to regain control, leaving Dappy singing to a near-empty crowd – until he stormed off the stage in frustration, reportedly stealing a buggy on his way out.
After complaints from festival-goers, the drum and bass area reopened. But organisers struggled to contain the madness, leading many to call the whole event disorganised.
Festival Fans Slam Lack of Supervision
Zoe Hendy, an attendee, slammed the scene: “There were so many kids left unsupervised in the drum and bass area — many just 14 or 15, getting drunk. It’s shocking really. This festival should raise mental health awareness but was ruined by those causing trouble, not the young artists trying to help.”
She added that next year’s festival should ban under-18s from unsupervised areas to avoid repeats of this year’s chaos.
Organisers Silent as Fallout Continues
Calls to festival head Prince Callum Fairweather for comment have so far gone unanswered, leaving questions hanging over how the event spiralled so badly out of control.
Tonight’s headliner Razorlight is set to close the two-day festival, but after two nights of drama, many fans wonder if recovery is possible.
