Patryk Skupinski, jailed for life after murdering his partner, died in prison after using drugs. The 38-year-old was serving a minimum of 21 years for killing 32-year-old Marlene Doyle in their Coventry flat back in January 2022.

The Prisons and Probation Ombudsman (PPO) revealed Skupinski passed away at HMP Gartree in Leicestershire on 29 January. An undiagnosed heart condition combined with psychoactive drug use was blamed for his death.
