Life Sentence Killer’s Shocking Death

Patryk Skupinski, jailed for life after murdering his partner, died in prison after using drugs. The 38-year-old was serving a minimum of 21 years for killing 32-year-old Marlene Doyle in their Coventry flat back in January 2022.

Drugs and Heart Condition Prove Fatal

The Prisons and Probation Ombudsman (PPO) revealed Skupinski passed away at HMP Gartree in Leicestershire on 29 January. An undiagnosed heart condition combined with psychoactive drug use was blamed for his death.

Tragic Backstory Emerges

  • Marlene Doyle’s body wasn’t found for up to five days after the killing.
  • West Midlands Police confirmed she had suffered domestic abuse prior to her death.
  • Skupinski’s mother and two others were jailed for helping him hide after the murder.

The grim case exposes prison drug risks and the tragic consequences of domestic abuse.
