Croydon Murder Leaves Woman Dead After Broad Daylight Stabbing on Frith Road

A young woman in her 20s has tragically died following a brutal stabbing in Croydon, plunging the local community into shock and triggering a murder investigation by the Metropolitan Police.

The incident occurred at 9:07am on Frith Road, a typically quiet street near Croydon town centre. Emergency services — including London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance — responded swiftly but were unable to save the victim, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

What Happened on Frith Road?

Initial police enquiries suggest the stabbing began inside a nearby property before escalating onto Frith Road, where the woman was fatally attacked. A man in his 30s, also found with minor injuries, was taken to hospital and has since been arrested on suspicion of murder. He remains in custody.

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Specialist Crime Command are leading the investigation. A large cordon remains in place as forensic teams work the scene.
