Four Children Die in Devastating Stafford House Blaze

Tragedy struck in Stafford overnight as a fierce house fire on Sycamore Lane claimed the lives of four young children aged between 3 and 8. The youngsters – named locally as Riley, Keegan, Tilly, and Olly – were sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

Desperate Escape from Flames

As flames engulfed the home in the early hours of Tuesday, the children’s parents and a baby managed to escape by jumping from a bedroom window. They are now being treated in hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening.

Firefighters Battled Intense Blaze

Fire crews from Staffordshire and West Midlands were called shortly after 2.30am but were met with massive flames. Witnesses reported seeing huge blue and green flames bursting through the roof. An aerial ladder was deployed as fire tore through the top floor, destroying the stairs.

Ongoing Investigation and Support for Family

A joint probe into the cause is underway as Staffordshire Fire and Rescue continue their examination. Police confirmed the heartbreaking deaths and said the family is receiving specialist support during this tragic time.

“Our thoughts are with the family, who are being supported by specialist officers at this difficult time,” a Staffordshire Police spokesman said.
