Man Left Fighting for Life After Brutal Attack in Stoke Newington
Police are hunting witnesses after a 39-year-old man was left in critical condition following a vicious assault in Stoke Newington, N16.
Early Morning Attack Near Busy Bar
Officers were called at 2.24am on Sunday, 30 June, to reports of a fight on Stoke Newington Road, near Miller’s Terrace. Paramedics found the victim unconscious after being attacked and rushed him to hospital, where he remains in a life-threatening state.
Witnesses say the attacker was seen brandishing a motorcycle helmet during the altercation.
Suspect Escapes on Moped – No Arrests Yet
The suspect fled the scene on a moped or motorcycle. Police quickly cordoned off the area but have yet to make any arrests. The investigation is being led by officers from London’s Central East Command Unit.
Detective Constable Amy Harrison said: “The incident took place outside a busy bar and takeaway, where there were many people present enjoying a night out. I know that a lot of people witnessed this incident and filmed the incident on their mobile phones. I need those people to get in touch and speak to me urgently.”
