In a significant legal development, James Green, aged 45, from Clacton-on-Sea, has been sentenced to six years imprisonment after pleading guilty to a series of offences related to child exploitation.
Green appeared at Chelmsford Crown Court on Wednesday, June 12 where he faced charges including the making and distribution of indecent images of children, possession of extreme pornographic material, and breaches of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO).

The Essex Police Online Investigation Team (POLIT) initiated an investigation following tips about illegal online activities traced to Green. A search of his residence in April revealed attempts to access prohibited content and breaches of his SHPO, leading to his arrest.
Despite his initial non-cooperative stance during questioning, Green later admitted guilt in light of overwhelming evidence. Detective Constable Matthew Wright from POLIT emphasised the severity of the case and the importance of swift legal proceedings in removing a dangerous individual from society.
