Shopping Centre Guard Faces Trial Over Plot Against Holly Willoughby
Security officer Gavin Plumb is set to stand trial at Chelmsford Crown Court, accused of plotting to kidnap and murder TV star Holly Willoughby. The 37-year-old faces serious charges of soliciting murder and incitement to commit kidnap.
Alleged Online Conspiracy With US Accomplice
Prosecutors say Plumb conspired online with a man named David Nelson, who was due to travel from the US to the UK. Together, they reportedly drew up a “detailed plan” that included assembling a “kidnap and restraint kit” targeting the popular presenter.
Denial of Charges and Upcoming Trial
Plumb, from Harlow, Essex, has denied all accusations during a previous hearing. His trial is set to begin on Monday and is expected to last around two weeks.
