Police in Sussex have issued an urgent appeal to the public for assistance in locating two missing 13-year-old girls.
The girls, identified as Ruby and Lacey, were reported missing on Sunday, 17th March, after they were last seen departing from St Leonards on Sea in East Sussex.
According to reports, the latest sighting of the girls places them in Stockwell, Lambeth, at approximately 16:30hrs on Monday, 18th March.
Ruby is described as approximately 5ft 5ins tall, of medium build, with long curly brown hair. She was last seen wearing a white tracksuit.
Lacey, on the other hand, is roughly 5ft 4ins tall, of slim build, with long curly blonde hair. She was last seen dressed in all-black attire.
Detective Sergeant Julie Morrow, representing the Missing Persons Unit, emphasized the urgency of locating the two girls, stressing their vulnerability due to their young age.
Sgt. Morrow stated, “It is important that we find these two girls as due to their young age, they are vulnerable. I hope to find them both safe and well.”
Authorities urge anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Ruby and Lacey or anyone who may have seen individuals matching their descriptions to come forward immediately. They can contact the police by dialling 999 or 101, quoting reference numbers 01/102759/24 and 01/104794/24.
The public’s cooperation and vigilance are essential in ensuring the safe return of these missing teenagers.
