British Transport Police (BTP) in Kent are on the lookout for a suspect following a violent disturbance at Chatham station. The incident, which occurred last night, involved a male suspect assaulting three individuals.
According to reports from BTP Kent, the suspect, who fled the scene before the arrival of the police, had been involved in a verbal altercation with the victims at a nearby pub. The victims, unrelated to the suspect, left the pub and boarded a train, with the suspect following suit.
Upon arriving at Chatham station, the suspect immediately targeted the victims, pushing a female and physically assaulting two males. One of the male victims was punched twice in the face, while the other was punched once, causing him to fall and sustain a broken ankle in two places.
Emergency services, including the South East Coast Ambulance Service (@SECAmbulance) and Kent Police Medway (@KentPoliceMed), attended the scene to provide medical assistance to the injured victims. Despite extensive inquiries, the suspect remained at large, prompting ongoing efforts by law enforcement to identify and locate him.
In response to the incident, BTP Kent emphasized their commitment to supporting the victims of the assault and assured the public that investigations were ongoing.
