Two Pedestrians Injured After Being Hit By Car In West Bromwich

Police and ambulance crews rushed to the scene of an incident on Lloyd Street, West Bromwich, after two pedestrians were struck by a car on the afternoon of Saturday, 20 April.

Emergency services were called shortly after 3pm following reports that a man and a child had been hit by a vehicle. West Midlands Police confirmed that officers responded promptly to assist ambulance crews and begin investigations into the incident.

A spokesperson for the force said:

“We were called to Lloyd Street, West Bromwich shortly after 3pm yesterday after two pedestrians were hit by a car.
Officers attended to support ambulance colleagues and carry out enquiries at the scene.
A man and a child were treated at the scene for their injuries, which were not thought to be life-threatening.”

Both victims received medical attention on-site, and their injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening, though the incident caused concern among local residents who witnessed the emergency response.

Police have launched an investigation into the circumstances of the collision and are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has relevant CCTV or dashcam footage to come forward.
