Cash Crook Caught Trying to Smuggle £300k Out of UK Just Hours After Arrival
Polish Driver Nabbed at Dover With £300,000 Stash
Mariusz Dorozynski, a Polish driver, was caught red-handed trying to sneak nearly £300,000 in criminal cash out of the UK. He was stopped by Border Force officers at Dover just four hours after arriving in the country. A van scan revealed bundles of cash hidden among boxes of car parts.
Fled UK, Got Busted Abroad
Instead of facing the music, Dorozynski skipped bail in 2016 after his arrest for money laundering. When he failed to respond to a court summons, the National Crime Agency (NCA) got serious, issuing a European Arrest Warrant.
He was tracked down in Poland and extradited back to the UK in October last year, showing crime just doesn’t pay.
NCA and Partners Bring Fugitive to Justice
“Dorozynski thought that by fleeing the UK he would get away with it, but through the determination of our officers working with our partners overseas we ensured he was made to come back to face justice.”
The NCA’s relentless efforts with international partners led to Dorozynski’s capture, proving criminals can’t outrun the long arm of the law.
