Brutal Attacks at Dover Hotels
The thug admitted to two assaults, causing actual bodily harm, controlling and coercive behaviour, plus sending malicious threats. kent-police/" title="Kent Police" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Kent Police arrested him in April 2021 after he violently attacked a woman he knew on two separate occasions at Dover hotels.
- On 12 April, following an argument, McNally-Jones punched the woman in the face.
- On 28 April, he threw a drinks can at her head, causing injury.
Twisted Control and Threats Revealed
Before his arrest, McNally-Jones bombarded the victim and a woman who helped her with death threats. An investigation by East Kent’s Vulnerability Investigation Team uncovered chilling details of his abusive reign.
- He isolated the victim from her family and friends.
- He controlled every aspect of her life, dictating what she could do and when.
- He subjected her to continual abusive and degrading comments.
- Back in April 2018, McNally-Jones had already attacked this same woman by kicking, punching, and hitting her head with a glass.
Justice Served with Restraining Orders
Alongside his jail term, McNally-Jones was slapped with five-year restraining orders banning any contact with the victim or her helper.
PC Ella Russell, of East Kent’s Vulnerability Investigation Team, said: “The first priority of our team is protecting victims like the woman who suffered appalling abuse at the hands of McNally-Jones. Her bravery in disclosing his behaviour has rightly led to his imprisonment and restraining orders to keep her and another woman safe.”
“I urge anyone suffering coercive control or domestic abuse to report it immediately by calling 999 or 101, visiting our website, or going to a police station. Our officers will treat you with respect, keep you away from the abuser, and support you throughout investigations and court proceedings.”
