Woman Found Dead with Head Injuries in Greenford
Police were called at around 5pm on Wednesday, November 25, after a 62-year-old woman was found injured at a home in Drew Gardens, Greenford.
Officers, the London Ambulance Service, and a police helicopter rushed to the scene. Tragically, the woman was pronounced dead at 5.22pm.
Murder Probe Launched, No Arrests Yet
The Met’s Specialist Crime Command, led by Detective Chief Inspector Simon Harding, is heading the murder investigation.
“At this early stage we retain an open mind as to motive and encourage anyone who believes they may have information that could assist our investigation to contact us without delay,” said DCI Harding.
Enquiries are ongoing, and no arrests have been made so far.
Police Promise Reassurance to Shaken Locals
Chief Superintendent Peter Gardner of the Met’s West Area Command spoke on the incident:
“This is a devastating incident and my thoughts are with the victim’s family at this difficult time.
I want to reassure residents who will have seen a heavy police presence last night and today. Officers are there to support the investigation and provide reassurance.”
