Man Charged with Murder After Fatal Stabbing in North London
Kevin Peraj, 23, from Islip Street, NW5, was arrested on Tuesday, 16 July, on suspicion of murder. He was charged the very next day, Wednesday, 17 July.
Court Appearances Set as Investigation Continues
Peraj appeared at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 18 July, where he was remanded in custody. His next hearing is scheduled for Monday, 22 July at the Old Bailey.
Victim Stabbed in Car on Stroud Green Road
Police were called just before 3am on Thursday, 11 July, to a report of two injured men inside a car on Stroud Green Road, at the junction with Tollington Park, N4.
Emergency services, including London Ambulance Service and the Air Ambulance, rushed to the scene and found Ahmed suffering from stab wounds. Despite their best efforts, Ahmed was pronounced dead at the scene.
The second man in the vehicle sustained injuries but none were life-threatening.
Family Support and Witness Appeal
Ahmed’s family is currently being supported by specialist officers as the investigation unfolds.
