Killer Knifeman Jailed for Stabbing of 22-Year-Old in East London

Kieron Brown, 27, from Mabley Street, East London, was found guilty of manslaughter after fatally stabbing 22-year-old Exauce Ngimbi. The verdict came at Harrow Crown Court on Thursday, 19 November.

Deadly Stabbing in Clarence Mews

Police were called at 2:01 pm on Thursday, 5 December 2019, following reports of a stabbing in Clarence Mews, E5. Emergency services, including London Ambulance and Air Ambulance, rushed to the scene.

Despite their best efforts, Exauce was pronounced dead at 2:33 pm. A post-mortem revealed he suffered eight stab wounds to the heart and aorta.

Man Charged and Found Guilty

Brown was charged with murder and possession of a bladed weapon on Saturday, 7 December 2019. He was held on remand ahead of the trial.

After months in court, Brown was convicted of manslaughter and possessing a bladed article. The exact motive remains unclear, but the two had clashed in a fight the day before the attack.

Detective Calls for Justice Amid Knife Crime Tragedy

“This is another incredibly sad case where a young person has lost their life on a London street due to knife crime,” said Detective Inspector Rita Tierney.

“Our team has worked hard to bring Exauce’s killer to justice and I hope it gives his family some degree of comfort. Regardless, the result will not bring Exauce back and they will always have to live with their grief.”

Brown awaits sentencing at Harrow Crown Court on Wednesday, 25 November.
