Suspicious Man Spotted Chatting to Girls

Alarm bells rang on Linden Park Road at 3.45pm on Wednesday, March 1, when a member of the public spotted an unknown man talking to a group of unaccompanied schoolgirls. Just two days later, a parent reported a similar unsettling encounter on nearby Saunders Road shortly after 3.15pm.

Man Allegedly Touched Schoolgirl’s Arm

The suspect reportedly approached a child and touched her arm. The girl quickly moved away and returned to her parent, who was following closely behind.

Suspect Description & Investigation Underway

The man is described as white, over six feet tall, with dark blonde ‘curtains’ hairstyle. He wore a black hooded pinafore with the hood up, dark jeans, and white trainers. Witnesses say he spoke with a British accent and appeared to be aged between 30 and 40.

Officers are scouring CCTV and dashcam footage from both areas and want anyone with information to come forward.

Police Urge Witnesses to Speak Up

“We understand this incident may worry parents and local residents,” said PC Jack Kinkade from West Kent’s Vulnerability Investigation Team. “We are carrying out a thorough investigation and urge anyone who saw something to contact us.”

A Kent Police spokesperson added: “Because these incidents happened during busy school pick-up times, we believe there are likely witnesses who haven’t come forward yet.”
