Violent Shooting on Lordship Lane
Police were called just before 10pm on Tuesday, 17 September 2019 after reports of a shooting on Lordship Lane near Wood Green High Road. When emergency teams arrived, all involved had fled the scene.
Shortly after, a 46-year-old woman and a 31-year-old man presented themselves at hospital with gunshot wounds. The woman’s injuries were critical but she survived thanks to expert care at North Middlesex and Royal London hospitals. The man has since made a full recovery.
Police Still Hunting Weapon
Clarke was arrested three days after the incident and charged accordingly. Detective Constable Damon Carr from Trident said:
“I hope that the victims can find some closure knowing Clarke is behind bars.
“The firearm used is still missing. Despite this conviction, we are determined to find the gun.”
He added: “Firearms have no place on our streets or in our communities. We will relentlessly target anyone who threatens the safety of Londoners.”
