Tragic Death of 12-Year-Old After E-Scooter Crash with Bus in Bordesley Green

Fatal Collision Shocks Local Community

A 12-year-old boy has died after crashing his e-scooter into a bus on Bordesley Green, near Belchers Lane, just before 8am. The youngster was confirmed dead at the scene in this heartbreaking tragedy.

Family Devastated, Police Seek Witnesses

The child’s family has been informed and is receiving support from specially trained officers. Detective Sergeant Paul Hughes of West Midlands Police said:

“This is an awful tragedy for the young boy’s family and friends, and our thoughts are with them at this time.”

Police Appeal for Dashcam Footage and Witnesses

Police have already spoken to several witnesses but are still urging anyone who was on the bus or who may have dashcam footage to come forward. Det Sgt Hughes added:

“If people do have footage, we’d ask them not to share it on social media but to send it to us so that we can help establish exactly what happened.”
