He has also been charged with robbery, possession of a bladed article, assault, and two counts of threatening people in public with a weapon.
Court Appearance and Officer Updates
During a brief hearing at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on Monday, Rahman confirmed only his name, birth date, and address. Dressed in prison-issued grey, he stood flanked by two officers. He did not enter a plea and was remanded until his next court date at the Old Bailey on October 14.
Pc Mulhall was released from hospital on Saturday, while Pc Gerrard remains under medical care. Both officers serve in the Met’s Central West Command Unit, policing Westminster. They were on routine duty, not involved in security operations linked to the Queen’s recent death.
