Man Dies After Late-Night Assault in Grays
A 40-year-old man was attacked in Southend Road, Grays, just after midnight on Monday, 30 November. Tragically, he died the following day.
Suspect Arrested and Released on Bail
Police arrested a 26-year-old local man on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. He has now been released on bail until 21 December.
Witnesses Urgently Sought
Officers believe two others were present during the assault and want them to come forward. They are also eager to speak with any drivers who passed through the roundabout at Southend Road, Chadwell Road, and College Avenue between 11:45pm on Sunday, 29 November and 12:25am on Monday, 30 November.
