St Helens Man Nabbed with Class A Drugs and Knife in Park Bust
Robert Clancey, 46, from Peter Street, St Helens, was arrested just four days ago in Fosters Park on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs—and carrying a knife in public.
Caught Red-Handed in Fosters Park
On Thursday 19 May, police spotted Clancey handing over a stash to a group of men in the park. When approached, he tried to flee and ditch a knife during the chase. Officers quickly caught him and found about 20 wraps of crack cocaine and heroin on him, along with the blade.
Swift Justice: Jail Sentence Within 24 Hours
Clancey was charged that very same day with possession of Class A drugs and carrying an offensive weapon. By the next day, he was sentenced to more than seven months behind bars.
