Knife Threat Shocker at Ashford Retail Park
At around 4.30pm on Wednesday 13 April 2022, Kent Police rushed to Warren Retail Park in Ashford. They were called after a suspected shoplifter threatened a staff member with a knife inside a store.
Shoplifter Caught and Charged
Daniel Martin, 38, with no fixed address, was arrested at the scene. He now faces two charges of threatening a person with a bladed article and one count of theft.
Next Court Date Set
Martin appeared at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Saturday 16 April and was remanded in custody. His case is due to return to Canterbury Crown Court on Monday 16 May.
