Minor Smash Causes Delays This Afternoon
Police and ambulance teams rushed to a minor traffic collision involving three vehicles between Whitwell and Niton today (Friday afternoon).
What Happened?
A Citroën clipped a parked-for-sale Vauxhall Zafira people carrier while an overseas-registered black Renault Clio tried to squeeze past. The crash left all vehicles stranded on the road.
Recovery Underway, Delays Expected
The cars are being recovered by police contractor Stag Lane Motors. Authorities say they hope to reopen the road by 2:30pm.

Southern Vectis Bus Route 6 is running a diversion via Rookley and Godshill to Whitwell while the road remains closed.
