Teens Throws Lamp, Spits at Police in Supermarket Chaos!
Disturbance at Broadstairs Supermarket
Kent Police were called at 10:40am on Sunday 19 December after a disturbance at a Westwood Road supermarket in Broadstairs. Officers arrived to find a teenage girl refusing to leave the store.
Violence Erupts: Lamp Thrown, Officers Spat At
As police tried to escort her out, a lamp was hurled at an officer, narrowly missing him. Another officer was then spat at during the incident.
Custody Chaos: Assaults Continue
At the police station, the violence didn’t stop. One officer was kicked in the arm and spat at. A fourth officer was spat at three times.
Teen Charged with Multiple Offences
The 15-year-old girl, from the Herne Bay area, cannot be named for legal reasons. She faces four counts of assaulting an emergency worker and one count of criminal damage.
She is due in Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 21 December.
