Fatal Hit-and-Run Shocks Richmond Upon Thames

Police are hunting witnesses after a deadly smash in Richmond upon Thames in the early hours of Saturday, 11 November. At 00:27, officers were called to 1 Court Road near the Esso garage following reports of a collision involving a pedestrian.

Man, 60, Killed at Scene

Emergency crews found a 60-year-old man with serious injuries. Sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed, while formal identification is pending.

Driver Arrested for Dangerous Driving and Drink-Driving

A 36-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, drink driving, and possession of a Class B drug. He was uninjured and taken to a south-west London police station, where he remains in custody.

Police Search for Female Passenger Who Fled the Scene

Officers believe a female passenger was in the vehicle and fled after the crash. Enquiries to trace her are ongoing.
