South London Stabbing Victim Named Lavz as Murder Probe Launches

22-Year-Old Dies After Croydon Stabbing

A young man known locally as Lavz, 22, has been named as the victim in a fatal stabbing in South London. The Peckham resident was attacked in a Croydon home on Wisbeach Road, Selhurst, just after 8pm on Friday.

Police arrived to find two men stabbed. Despite urgent efforts by the London Ambulance Service, Lavz was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:09pm.

Another Male Victim in Hospital – No Arrests Yet

The other male victim, details undisclosed, had been taken to hospital before police arrived. His injuries are not life-threatening, and his family has been informed.

Police have launched a murder investigation but no arrests have been made so far. Officers are urging anyone with information to come forward.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

“We know that a group of males attended the address and an altercation occurred which resulted in the victim receiving a fatal stab injury,” said Detective Chief Inspector Martin Thorpe.

“If you saw or heard anything around 8pm on Friday, please contact police. Even the smallest clue could help us piece together what happened.”

“There were several violent incidents that evening across South London but currently there’s no link between them.”

“A young man has lost his life in a senseless act of violence, leaving his family devastated. If you can help us find who is responsible, get in touch immediately.”

Heightened Police Presence in Local Area

Following the stabbing, officers will patrol the area heavily. Residents with concerns are urged to speak to police on the street or call 101.
