Man Found Dead in Birmingham Home – Suspect Arrested
Tragedy struck on Doidge Road, Birmingham, when 43-year-old Anthony Sharma was found with fatal injuries just after 1pm on Friday, November 10. Emergency crews rushed to the scene but Mr. Sharma was pronounced dead at the property.
Roommate Held Over Murder and Fraud
Police arrested 35-year-old Diogo Bettencourt, who lives in the same multi-occupancy house, in connection with Mr. Sharma’s death. Bettencourt now faces charges of murder.
In a twist, he’s also been charged with fraud by false representation after allegedly using Mr. Sharma’s bank card post-mortem.
First Court Appearance Set for November 13
Bettencourt is due to appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court on November 13 to answer the serious charges.
