Sheffield Cannabis Farm Worth £200K Busted in Heeley
Police smashed a massive cannabis operation in Sheffield last month. Officers from Sheffield South West NPT raided a property on Thirlwell Road, Heeley, on 27 September and found over 100 mature cannabis plants spread across three rooms (pictured).
Huge Drug Haul Seized
The plants were valued at nearly £200,000 on the street. The large-scale grow was quickly dismantled, ending a significant local drug supply.
Perp Caught and Jailed
Erjon Briskaj, 31, an Albanian national, was arrested at the scene. He was charged with producing a controlled drug and appeared at Sheffield Crown Court.
Briskaj was sentenced to eight months in jail. After serving his time, he faces deportation back to Albania.
