Birmingham man ordered to indefinite hospital stay after stalking radio stars
Peter Windsor’s Four-Year Stalking Nightmare
Peter Windsor, 61, from Mary Road, Birmingham, terrorised celebrity radio presenters Myleene Klass and Katie Breathwick for over four years. His obsession kicked off in March 2020 with a strange note bragging about his pull-up count. But it quickly spiralled dark.
In November 2023, Royal Mail intercepted a chilling parcel sent to Myleene’s workplace – containing an imitation air pistol. From March to September 2024, the women were bombarded with nearly 100 handwritten letters packed with disturbing sexual and religious messages.
Windsor’s bizarre gifts didn’t stop there. Items included binoculars, a stamp collection, champagne, spiked running shoes, a “holy protection” silver ring, a bank statement showing multiple cash withdrawals, a necklace, and even second-hand shoes.
Caught and Locked Up
Police arrested Windsor in September 2024, finding black gloves, a London travel map, and a detailed journey planner in his possession. He was charged with two counts of stalking causing serious alarm and distress.
At Warwick Crown Court, Windsor was found guilty and slapped with an indefinite hospital order. A restraining order bans him from contacting or approaching Myleene and Katie ever again.
Police Praise Victims’ Brave Stand
“Peter Windsor made Myleene and Katie fear for their safety over more than four years,” said Detective Sergeant Marius Dinescu, Birmingham Police. “He sent nearly 100 parcels to their workplace – escalating his disturbing behaviour with zero regard for their wellbeing.”
“They had to boost security at work because of his obsessive actions. Myleene and Katie showed incredible bravery reporting these incidents and backing the investigation. Stalking wrecks lives and robs victims of their peace.”
